The Selection was a quick reread for me… I have all of the same thoughts and feelings I had as when I first read it, though I raised the rating from four stars to five stars. (I was surprised I didn’t already have it set at five stars since I know I loved it when I first read it.)This series is one of my popular yearly rereads.

I really liked this book. I was quite surprised after seeing all the low ratings on this site. I guess it was because all of the Hunger Games fans were expecting something else. Well, it was something else. This book did kind of follow The Hunger Games and the movie Ever After- the one with Drew Barrymore. I liked it a lot because it didn’t have the violence to it. I started it yesterday and finished it today. I had two tests later this week that I needed to study for, but I couldn’t stop reading this. I had to know what would happen. The only part I didn’t like about the book was the cliffhanger. Now I can’t wait for the next book to come out.
