Superlatives Book Tag

I have been tagged by the lovely Mandy from Book Princess Reviews to do this awesome Superlatives Book Tag. Thank you!!  She was one of the reasons why I first started on here, just to follow her awesome posts. You guys should go check her blog out.  I had a wordpress ages ago, but was never actually active. I finally jumped in and officially joined WordPress just last month.

This is my first book tag thing, so bear with me since I’m not very fancy with my blog yet. I also own a lot of ebooks and about 200 or so regular books so most of my books are on my ereaders. This means I will probably be borrowing a lot of covers from Goodreads.

#1 MOST LIKELY TO BE IN THE MOVIES: THE BOOK THAT WOULD MAKE THE BEST MOVIE

IMG_20180407_174937421

I feel like Cinder would make an excellent choice for the best movie since it does have a strong fandom behind it. Follow up: Bloodlines would also make a good movie as well…. I’d LOVE to see who plays Adrian Ivashkov. I personally picture Chace Crawford as Adrian. I just LOVE Adria SOOOOOOOO much. I don’t know if follow ups are allowed, but I’m having a hard time choosing, haha.

#2 BIGGEST DRAMA QUEEN/KING: THE MOST (OVERLY) DRAMATIC BOOK OR CHARACTER

IMG_20180407_175032401

I’m honestly not sure how to answer this, but I think I will have to go with Adrian Ivashkov from Bloodlines again. He is a fantastic character, but he does have his moments where he is dramatic. “These hands don’t do manual labor, Sage.” Also, all of his moods he went through with Rose/Dimitri and then later Sydney. His element is spirit though, and it kind of backs him up to the point where people just shrug and say, “That’s Adrian.” I love this series to pieces.

#3 BEST DRESSED: THE BOOK WITH THE BEST COVER

This is another hard question because I just LOVE book covers. I’m forever admiring them, so I have a two. I do have a hardback copy of Geekerella, but it is lent to a relative at the moment. (I’ll have it back soon though, and replace this photo from Goodreads!)

Geekerella

Sarah Dessen always has beautiful book covers. Once and For All was one book I bought last year purely to add to my Sarah Dessen collection while I read it on my e-reader. I may have read the actual book though.

#4 MOST CREATIVE: THE BOOK WITH THE MOST UNIQUE PLOT, CHARACTERS, & STRUCTURE

These Vicious Masks

I am borrowing the cover from Goodreads again. This plot is very unique. It’s like X-men with everybody’s powers and it’s pretty sweet, despite the fact that the first one was a little bit hard for me to follow. I am liking the second book! It’s not every day when there’s a series like X-Men to appreciate.

#5 MOST POPULAR: THE BOOK WITH THE MOST RATINGS ON GOODREADS

IMG_20180407_175215572

I am borrowing Mandy’s answer to this question as well! (She borrowed it from someone else too.)  I actually got this book used and it was autographed! Follow ups: Harry Potter, The Hunger Games….

#6 MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED: THE BOOK THAT IS GOING TO BE APPRECIATED FOR MANY YEARS TO COME

IMG_20180407_184907078

Sorry this photo ended up being a bit dark. But I think Harry Potter will be one of the successful series that will still be successful for many years to come because it’s Harry Potter. I know people that are already passing the series on to their kids. I even let my old next door neighbor’s little kid borrow the series twice in the last year.

#7 CLASS CLOWN: THE BOOK THAT MADE YOU LAUGH OUT LOUD

Apollo in The Hidden Oracle (The Trials of Apollo #1) by Rick Riordan. Apollo made me laugh more than once in this book and it was the first book of Percy Jackson that I liked.

#8 MOST IMPROVED: THE BOOK THAT STARTED OFF SLOW, BUT REALLY PICKED UP

These Vicious Masks

I think I am going to have to go with this book since I am reading book number two right now. Book number two has much improved since the first book for me at least. I was lost more than once in These Vicious Masks. I feel like the pace of These Ruthless Deeds has just improved so much compared to the first one.

Reflection

Follow up: Reflection by Elizabeth Lim is also a most improved book because while I personally think the rest of the series has been good (minus the Sleeping Beauty book, I haven’t read that one yet), it has mixed reviews as a whole. I feel like Reflection redeems it. It made me appreciate the story of Mulan more AND I watched the movie again. The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast was where it was at for me as a kid, but now this is a top three along with them because of this story. I just LOVE Shang and Mulan. 😀

#9 CUTEST COUPLE: CUTEST COUPLE IN A BOOK

Oh my gosh!!!! I WAS NOT ANTICIPATING THIS QUESTION!!! I skipped over it when I first saw this book tag. Do you know how cruel it is to ask me this? I ship practically EVERYBODY. EVERYBODY, OKAY?? I wrote fanfiction and wrote about non canon pairings such as Fremione.  *cries* I should do a whole blog post just for this question because I love so many. There’s Suze and Jess from The Mediator, Michael and Mia from Princess Diaries…WHYYYYYYYYYYYY???? Ok. Aside from the ones above, I have chosen three. I can’t pick just one. Sorry I’m being a rebel with this book tag by picking more than one.

SYDRIANNNNNNNNNN because I LOVE THEM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!! (AKA Sydrian and Adrian.)

IMG_20180407_191142774_LL

Maxon and America are also another favorite I have loved.

Reflection

This book made me ship Shang and Mulan.

#10 BIGGEST HEARTBREAKER: THE BOOK THAT BROKE YOUR HEART

I don’t cry over books. But I have gotten VERY mad over two deaths in two books.

IMG_20180407_180450474_LL

Fred’s death in Harry Potter. That was even before I shipped Fremione (aka Fred/Hermione.) His death was just always the cruelest.

And also, Mockingjay. FINNICK ODAIR WAS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER, OKAY? He made me like that series and they just killed him off. I went to bed angry that night, and then I went to work all angry and only had one person to talk about it with.  It took me awhile to get over that one because I was giving The Hunger Games series a real chance despite me not liking super hyped up books such as that series.

TAG, you’re it? I’m new to this whole book tagging thing. This is my first one, so I don’t really know who all has done what. I will tag Lola , Peaks and Pages, and anybody else who would like to participate in this book tag.

What do you think? Where some of the answers I had similar to yours? Did anybody else have a hard time choosing just one answer?

  1. You ship Fremione, too?? *pumps fist* Yesss! Everyone I know thinks it’s a weird ship, but I ship it! Dramione, too. Although Fremione had more of a chance of being canon.

  2. Ahh, yay!!!! Another Fremione shipper!! And actually J.K. Rowling said if she had killed off Mr. Weasley in the fifth book, Fred and Hermione would have been together but she thought that would have destroyed Ron.

I do have Fremione stories on my fanfiction account that I wrote! It’s not everyday when you meet another Fremione shipper. Super cool!!

    1. Ooooh my gosh, Fremione seriously did have a lot of potential! *fangirling* I wish Fred didn’t die, but Mr. Weasley… why couldn’t none of the Weasleys die?? I love all of them so much… Oh, cool! What’s your fanfiction account called? I’d love to read some of your stuff!

  3. Thank you!! I had so much fun with that story. It is my baby. It took me FOREVER to write the very last chapter, haha. I finally wrote it right before I started my new job.

I sometimes want to write a story with a secret romance like that but idk if I could top Fremione.

  4. Oh, Colleen, your answers were so much fun! Picking a favorite ship is just cruel. There are just so many fantastic ones out there!! And Cinder would make just the greatest movie. Fingers crossed it happens one day. 😉 And Apollo seems like such a fun narrator, and I can’t wait for him. Your first tag was just brilliant, and another great post, Colleen! 😀
