I decided to take part of First Line Friday since my Friday posts are sometimes lacking.
The Book Beginnings on Friday or First Line Friday book meme was created by Rose City Reader, where you share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the sentence, impressions of the book, or anything else the opener inspires.
The Fiery Heart by Richelle Mead is the fourth book to the Vampire Academy spinoff series called Bloodlines. We met Sydney Sage in Blood Promise in Vampire Academy, but we never really got to know her until this series. She has come a long way with her Alchemist beliefs and has even dared to fall in love with Adrian Ivaskhov, a vampire. These two are my OTP.
First line “I wont lie. Walking into a room and seeing your girlfriend reading a baby-name book can kind of make your heart stop.”
My first impression of this line was, “Oh boy. What is Adrian going to get up to in this book now?” I was also very pleased to realize that we were getting Adrian chapters in this book because the other books did not have his point of view and I absolutely loved him.
This book is a reread.
