The X-Files book tag

I have been tagged by Mandy @bookprincessreviews to do this X-Files book tag. I’ve never watched the show, and I don’t know anything about it but book tags are fun.

The Rules:

Take out your fake FBI badge and answer the questions
Keep the alien love alive possibly and tag any and all X-Files fans you know…or just other people – either or?
Fox Mulder

Fox is known to have some “out there” beliefs, so name a book that you believe in despite everyone/ratings/reviews tell you perhaps isn’t that great

The first book that popped into mind that I love that everybody else says isn’t that great is Bloodlines. I loved that book series so much!!IMG_20180407_175032401

Dana Scully

Just like the resident FBI skeptic, name a book that you’re skeptical of (because of hype, sketchy cover, etc.)

A Court of Frost and Starlight and The Burning Maze

I’m actually skeptical over a lot of books out there right now….hence why it’s so hard for me to choose a book sometimes. I tend to check out books I am skeptical of from the library usually. My dog was not at all excited that I got a library book for free, haha.

I Want to Believe

What book do you believe, just like the famous tagline, will be your next 5 star/crown read off of your TBR?
Love and Luck by Jenna Evans Welch. I want to read this book sooooooo bad. I’ve literally entered all the giveaways I can for it on Goodreads, instagram, and here. I’ll probably eventually buy it soon if my library doesn’t pick it up soon too.

Love and Luck

Name a book that on your TBR that is from a genre that seems out from another book world to you but still sounds super good.

I read pretty much YA… every once in awhile I will stray to romance, chick literature or something along those lines. I have been wanting to try this book, but I haven’t wanted to pay the prices of the regular book or even the Kindle book. I am hoping my library will pick this one up.

Broken Girls

The Lone Gunmen
the lone gunmen
Name a book that comes along with an epic team just like these three hacking men
Uhm….. I am not quite sure how to answer this one. I’m going to go with the Golden Trio from Harry Potter, aka Harry, Ron and Hermione.

Walter Skinner
Skinner is the boss that forever teeters on the edge of good and evil, so name a conflicting character for you (whether the character is just conflicted or you’re conflicted about your feelings for them).
I’m not sure how to answer this one, so I’m going to choose Apollo… I like him sometimes, but other times the hype that surrounds these books and Percy Jackson makes me step away sometimes. I think I liked the first book best, but now I have to read the third book just because I’ve gotten this far.

Apollo 2

Cancer Man/ Cigarette Smoking Man
Name the worst book villain you can think of just like this smoking fiend who refuses to stay dead.
Professor Umbridge… did she ever die in the book series? I’m rereading it so I guess I will find out!

Join the FBI tag team!

I hope I am tagging some new people… I haven’t done a book tag in awhile so I don’t remember who I last tagged. Remember, you don’t have to know anything about X-Files to do this. I didn’t! The following people I am tagging for this post are:

Kayla @ Books and Blends

LaRonda @ flyingpaperbacks

Jenaca @ jenacidebybibliophile
