The Book Addiction Tag/ How big of a Book Nerd am I?

Hey guys! So sorry I haven’t really posted any reviews this week…. I just want to read during blogging time instead. I decided to do a book tag instead. I am not sure who the creator of this lovely book tag is, so if anybody knows, can you tag them please?  I found this on Lia’s Lost in a Story  blog. She didn’t know who created it either. But it looks fun so I decided to give it a try.

What is the longest amount of time you can comfortably go without picking up a book?

Comfortably? 0. I can go through a work day without reading. I didn’t read for a couple of days last year when I had the flu. I don’t choose to comfortably go without reading.

How many books do you carry on your person (or kindle) at any one time?

My Kindle has 50 books downloaded on it… I have 4 books with me for my weekend trip home. My Nook has about 100 books. I read on that at night.

Do you keep every book you buy/receive or are you happy to pass them on to make space for more?

I keep a lot of them. I have taken some to the used bookstore to be traded for store credit.

How long would you spend in a bookshop on a standard visit?

I can be in and out about 20 minutes if I am just looking and then buy the book online or on my Kindle.

How much time per day do you actually spend reading?

I’d say at least an hour total throughout the whole day. It used to be more but I get distracted by Instagram too now. The book photos are so pretty to look at! I like talking to people there too.

Where does the task ‘picking up a book’ appear on your daily to-do list?

During the work day I usually pick it up before work, during lunch break, and then maybe a half hour after dinner if I let myself, and right before bed for a half hour. So it’s often, just throughout the day.

How many books do you reckon you own in total (including e-books)?

My Kindle says I have about 1300 books but a lot of them are probably old library “personal delete this letter” files I need to delete from cloud. I think I have about 200 DTB’s (dead tree books.) My Nook says I have about 815 on there. I started with Nook in 2010 or 2011 and I have downloaded tons of free books for Nook/Kindle in their device stores so I didn’t purchase all of them.

Approximately how often do you bring up books in conversation?

In real life maybe once a day if that. I might talk about something on Instagram but that’s about it.

What is the biggest book (page count) you have finished reading?

Last year my longest book was A Court of Mist and Fury. I’d say it’s a toss up between that and Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix.

Is there a book you had to get your hands on against all odds i.e searching bookshops, online digging etc?

Not at the moment really, no.

A book you struggled to finish but refused to DNF?

Right now I have marked Bring Me Their Hearts ARC as DNF on my Goodreads, but part of me is refusing to mark it that on Netgalley. I have another few weeks. It wasn’t really a struggle, I just am not in the mood for a fantasy at the moment.

What are 3 of your main book goals for 2018?

I just set one Goodreads goal and it’s already been changed from 40 books to 70 I think.

Have you ever had the privilege of converting someone into a reader (maybe via inspiration or incessant nagging)?

Nope not really. I recommend books and people like them  though!

Describe what books mean to you in five words.

Relaxing, treasures, entertaining, dreamy, obsession…. wow, that was a hard one.

What do you think? This was a pretty cool book tag! And now I tag….. you? Anybody who wants to do this can tag themselves since I didn’t properly get tagged for this. Feel free to drop a comment!
