I don’t know if anybody else really cares about the book order that I actually read in, but the order of the books I read is actually from A Cowboy’s Sweetheart to One Small thing in the first row. Then the second row is Love & Gelato to Legendary, and then the third is Yours Royally to Always a Bridesmaid. Sorry, that organization got a little bit backwards and the organization part of me does not like that ordering.
Anyway, sorry I never got around to doing a May wrap-up post. I procrastinated, and then I had every deadline due at once in a couple of weeks and I just wanted to read when I got home. My blogging got very behind in the month of May and I’m starting to get behind in July already. I honestly just want to read more than blog.
The only ARC that I read in June was The Real Deal, and it was so so. Wedding Date for Hire had a similar plot, and I can’t get into books that are the same. I also read One Small Thing. That was so good that I forgot it was an ARC.
What was really surprising though was that I actually got into fantasy a little bit this month. I LOVED Legendary by Stephanie Garber even though Caraval earlier this year wasn’t that high of a rating for me. To Kill a Kingdom has mixed reviews on Goodreads, and I am usually in the low ratings group when there’s mixed reviews. The rebel in me just likes to go against what people think if the book was really popular. (This happened earlier this year with The Hate U Give.) But that one was another high star rating, and I also really enjoyed Daughter of the Siren Queen.
I also liked my wedding romances since the Hallmark channel got me in the mood for weddings. I am still sad that they replaced that with Christmas in July. I’m not in the mood for Christmas at the moment.
Anyway, lets check out the reviews!
Five Star Ratings
Throw back Thursday has some high ratings. Love & Luck, Listen to Your Heart, Daughter of the Siren Queen were five star ratings. To Kill a Kingdom was a four star rating. Grouping it with this post to kind of keep it together. Sorry for getting a bit disorganized there.
Legendary did not get a review, but it was still a five star rating.
Four Star Ratings
Always Forever Maybe I think Always Forever Maybe was a May read, but my blog tour post for it was not due until June, so that kind of counts. I just don’t have it in my books read count.
To Kill a Kingdom (Linked in Throw Back Thursday)
Three Star Rating
A Cowboy’s Sweetheart
Books that got rated on Goodreads but not reviewed
Yours Royally by Krista Lakes got a three star rating. That book was just ok to me, but it was a fast paced read still.
Wedding Date for Hire by Jennifer Shirk was a four star rating. I REALLY enjoyed that book. It was the best out of the three wedding books I read last month.
The Real Deal by Lauren Blakely got a three star rating and a did not review from me because it was too similar to Wedding Date for Hire and I didn’t feel like I had enough to write a review for it.
Always a Bridesmaid by Lizzie Shane was another four star wedding romance book. I really enjoyed this one even though the characters sometimes annoyed me (except for the guy.) The best friends made me want to smack them sometimes with the book.
I think I joined Twitter in the month of May or June and I have 500 or more followers on there already. Instagram is doing ok still, I like looking at all of the pretty pictures. I also hit 100 followers in June!! That was super exciting to me, and I am halfway to 200 followers! Thank you everybody for helping me reach that point. I LOVE WordPress so much.
Sorry this wrap up is so late. I thought I’d have more, but I only reviewed half of my books I read in June. I thought the books that got rating deserved to be mentioned too still. How many books did you read in June? Did you reach any blogging goals of your own? What are you currently reading? Feel free to drop a comment below!
