Whoever said opposites attract must have been talking about Kate Marlowe and Barrett Fox. Her life’s work was bringing people together, and his was tearing them apart. The pretty wedding consultant and the sexy divorce lawyer should have hated each other on sight, and—well, they did. But from that first moment, when Cupid’s arrow struck the unsuspecting Barrett—literally—there was something between them that just wouldn’t go away.
There was no way it would work, of course. They both knew that. She was as romantic as they come, born to wear white lace and to carry a bouquet of roses with baby’s breath, while he’d learned the hard way not to believe in love—or much of anything else.
It was impossible, completely impossible…wasn’t it?

Dreaming of You by Barbara Freethy is part of a seven book series, but each book can be read as a standalone. It does not give away too much if you don’t read the books in order.
This book was a four star read for me because it did not have quite the same feel as the older ones did for me, but it was still enjoyable.
There were a lot of the same information about the other brides and their husbands that were seen in the other books, but to new readers this would be a good thing.
The pace was still fast paced for me like Freethy’s other books. It was a nice visit to this series since it had been awhile and I had still looked forward to this book for awhile.
This book was a four star read and I’d recommend this book if you are looking for a short, clean, sweet romance book to read on Valentine’s Day or anytime you need a pick me up.
