Taylor Swift Book Tag

I saw this Taylor Swift Book tag post on Musing’s of a book girl’s blog. It looked really neat and I thought I’d give it a try. She also created the beautiful graphics you see, not me.

  • Know somebody who loves Taylor? Tag them! If you don’t know of anybody though, that’s okay too, you should still do the tag!
  • Link back to Mari’s post so she’ll get a notification that you did it and can come see your answers! Also because crediting creators is nice.
  • Feel free to use any of her graphics or make your own if you want!

I’ve never cried during any books. But I do avoid rereading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows because I can’t forgive J.K. Rowling for (spoiler alert) killing off Fred Weasley. Please don’t kill me for that spoiler alert. This isn’t like Avengers, the last book has been out since 2007.

I think I’d have to say that Wanderlost by Jen Malone has the best cover out of all the books I’ve read so far this year. BUT I am a sucker for pretty covers, this doesn’t mean that this is the only pretty cover out there.

My favorite non canon couple is FREMIONE. I love Fremione, aka Fred and Hermione from Harry Potter so much and I even write fanfiction about them. My favorite canon couple is Sydrian from Bloodlines by Richelle Mead. They go through so much character development in the series. Maxon and America from The Selection by Kiera Cass are a close second. I was taken by them from the first moment Maxon said, “Hello, my dear.” ❤

I’m actually not sure… maybe The Hate U Give?

I guess my biggest regret is not finishing all the books I didn’t love sooner because I could have found newer books to love before. Also, don’t let anybody ever make you feel bad for reading young adult or whatever genre you like. I used to sometimes get down whenever people would tell me I shouldn’t read young adult. If you’re of age to read a certain genre, I don’t think there’s no real maximum age limit. Don’t let the Muggles get you down!!

I loved all of the children’s series growing up. I loved The Box Car Children, Little Sister and Baby Sitter’s Club books, all of the Heartland and Thoroughbred books, The Saddle Club, Harry Potter, Sweet Valley books, etc.  I’d reread all of them all the time.  Before all those it was the Bernstein Bears and this book that was about this old lady who adopted all of the strays that she saw. Pretty soon she had to live in a train because she had so many, no house was big enough for them. I don’t remember that book at all, but I reread it about once a week.

Uhhh, none. Despite having red hair, I actually don’t like the color red. I even had to get The Vanishing Stair checked out as a library ebook because of how bright, bright, BRIGHT red that book is. Sorry for all the red lovers. I can’t hate it completely, because then I’d hate my hair color. And the Weasleys. But red covers just don’t do it for me. 😦 Please don’t hate me.

I was super excited when my library got me the ebook of Opposite of Always by Justin Reynolds I believe his last name is. I’m terrible with author names, but it’s a really popular young adult book that’s out right now. I spent an hour just staring at the cover on my tablet, and then I took a photo of it and put it on Instagram and stared at the photo on Instagram for an hour. I was smitten by the cover. And almost every blogger friend told me about how much they loved this book. I let myself get super excited instead of nervous about the hype. It didn’t work for me sadly. It could still work for you though!

I love this trope, but I can’t think of several at the moment. I’d say Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett is a good one.

I actually have a few this year. Wanderlost by Jen Malone, Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson and A Curse so Dark and Lonely.

I don’t really have any terrible book confessions to make. I do buy books and let them sit for months without  reading them sometimes. And everybody probably knows that I love ebooks.

Six of Crows, Shadow and Bone, and the third book in A Court of Thornes and Roses… also Karen Kingsbury used to be one of my favorite authors but I disliked one of her books so I decided not to read her books anymore.

Um… I reread a lot of books. Not sure if I reread anything for vulnerable purposes. But I think Kasie West and Morgan Matson will be new authors I reread.

So there it is! Thirteen (obviously) Taylor Swift songs matched with bookish themes. Down below there’s a  list all of the pairings to make it easier for you to reference them if you decide to do the tag. Like I said above, feel free to use any of my graphics in your post and please remember to link back to me as well!
